I checked a 2006 catalog. All BBC were 6 digit part numbers beginning with 6

Loco… I just located a 1973 Manley catalogue.
Jenkins Vega on the cover, price $2.00. (50 year old catalogue)

Part number 48043 shows as a 4.035 Ring Set (50 years ago)

427 Pistons are as listed 50 years ago:
55390, 56080 (Open Chamber) 12.5-1
56710 (Closed Chamber) 12.5-1.

Have you tried calling Manley ? They have looked up an old part number for me in the past.

dom maybe if they r solid dome u could whittle a touch off the tops if too much compression?
