Default Kevin Helms @ No Problem

It?s official?. Former 3-time NHRA Stock champion Kevin Helms has decided to add track management to his background. Beginning in January, Kevin will move to Louisiana to join the No Problem Raceway management and support staff.

Kevin will help drag strip manager Davy Crochet operate a ?racer? supply shop that will stock the small parts that seem to be needed by racers at the track. Items such as ignition boxes and coils, tachometers, seatbelts, fire jackets, carb jets, spark plugs, and similar items will be available. Kevin and Davy will stock several ring and pinion sets and they will provide mechanical services for racers in the NPR race shop.

Racers will have the opportunity to get drag racing licenses and a complete understanding of various styles of drag racing at the new Southland Drag Racing School that will be operated exclusively at No Problem Raceway. Britt and Slate Cummins will team with Kevin as instructors for the school. Between the three team members they have 6 world championships, 53 national event wins, and over 100 divisional wins.

In addition to private racing instruction, Kevin and Davy will offer their expertise in engine and chassis tuning. The race shop will be used for owners to ?drop off? their car and have the NPR team perform their tuning setup on your car, and provide beginning, during, and final printouts from the NPR 1320-foot real-time track dyno. Want to have your car rewired? ? No Problem. Kevin and Davy are two of the best.

For those who think Santa may have granted your wish of not having to compete against Mr. Helms? WRONG. Kevin?s plans are to enter as many national and divisional events as possible. He is always ready to give racers free driving lessons, especially when they are in the opposite lane from him during eliminations.

A full program announcement will be forthcoming? stay tuned for more details.
