Woody I am all for counting all the class runs, however I don't understand the sliding scale for figuring the averages. It seems to hurt the cars that have big numbers. Should'nt affect me but I still don't understand.

Question Re: Ahfs

What did I miss?
Is there some "new rule" that says that if you run your car "All Out" like on PINKS ALL OUT,then you lose?

Woody, could you be more specific? Is there a change to the AHFS, other than the one announced on the way?

Daran, be real...do you think that if they adopt the new AHFS that would stop a racer on spending money on their car? Even when the AHFS was implemented, it did not stop or lower the expenditures of racers.

Be real... lower expenditure racers??? You can bet any rule reducing the value of performance is going to adversely effect the performance parts industry and the engine builders.

Most racers are racing cars that appeal to them and most of them can't run more than 1.15 under on a regular basis. Some racers are satisified with the performance of their cars, and some racers don't have or want to spend the dough it takes to make a combination lightening fast, and some racers don't want to do the hard work that it takes to go fast. OR maybe it's a combination of all these factors, but the bottom line is nhra is trying real hard to kill off the high performance aspect of the sport. Sure, regulate for fairness but then they should leave avenues open for the racers who want to go fast.

Also, the guys who go for combinations that they know are not real class competitors from the beginning should not come out and complain about other combinations. You guys knew what you you were getting into when you chose your combination.
