Curious for opinions what adding 80 more average hp from 6 to 8k would add to my chevelle s st car. 138 to 142 last year. My guess is around 5.

That is going to depend on the setup. If you plan on keeping the same stop rpm and first number, there may be very little difference in speed. the more horsepower will require more stop time. more stop time should bring the MPH down. If this is the setup I would guess maybe 3mph gain. If you change the stop rpm and first number you can get more mph. 80 horsepower should gain 4 to 5 mph. Its all a guess as speed changes require exponential horsepower gains. Congrats on getting that extra hp should be a fun ride. Best of luck in your racing.
