Angry SportsNationals Columbus

I was on the NHRA website and they had an article on there about the Jeg's SportsNationals this weekend. I would like to thank all the folks at Jeg's for sponsoring this race in my back yard. What a great opportunity to race without the pros around. Hopefully there will be tons of spectators, although I have not heard any advertisements on the radio or seen any on TV. The point I want to make about this article is there is NO mention of stock or super stock qualifying listed on Friday, just top drag and top sport. Nothing against these two catagories, but correct me if I am wrong, didn't these classes get started by IHRA? Now they are the featured cars at an NHRA event. What kind of payback is IHRA getting from NHRA for creating these classes, not to mention the pro mods. Stock and super stock disted by NHRA again, no surprise ...

Chuck did you check out the NHRA site ? They have the schedule on it . Also Jim Layton had 50,000 free tickets printed up and passed out , only have to pay to park.

I got a few of those tickets at Indy. I was not sure if it was for one day entry or parking. If it is entry, GREAT.!!!!!!!!!!

I tried to get the free tickets when I was at Indy, but couldn't find the team in the pits that supposedly had them. Are there still free tickets available?
Also just to add to what Chuck was saying, NHRA needs to remember where the grass roots of Drag Racing really came from! It was Stock & Super Stock & they deserve more respect. At least when the BORING Super classes are running it gives me plenty of time in the pits to look around at all the real cars.
