What is best way to set up lifters and valve adjustment on a LS 1 stocker motor. Do you shim the lifters, what about adjustable push rods, rocker arms. This stocker stuff is kicking my butt. Tom

Hi Tom, On the LS7's I have been using Manton / Jesel shim- adjustable push rods with short travel roller hydraulic lifters.
With the rule change this year allowing the solid roller lifters we are changing to T&D adjustable rocker arms to use with the solid lifters. Both are expensive. The Push rod kit cost about $700 a few years ago. The T&D are about double that. Maybe someone will chime in with a cheaper alternative.
