Lets see, in Stock as the rules permit, you can foot brake (let your RPM's wander) or use a button with a 2-step (keeping it constant), put the button wherever you want in the best local for your choice and satisfaction, seems very simple and diplomatic, just like choosing your combo.
I call this diluted because the discussion and voting has taken a turn from the original request (hence, the new thread) to rid Comp. and SS of ADJUSTABLE buttons (go to spec devices). Now it's morphed into ridding all devices including buttons, 2-steps and the location of these in Stock, how did this happen? We all know that button design and function has produced some rather radical versions lately, i.e. AX, 5 Ohh and so on (won't mention the delay for trans. brakes in the valve body, Oh crap, I just did !). I can't help but think, for a lot of racers, that the 'over the top adjustability' is the main bone of contention with some devices !! I know it is for me and I never believed that they'd be accepted, but they were. Nobody (including NHRA) has waited to see what will happen with the original proposition and why can't that be adapted to Stock? Spec buttons, just like our cousins in SS and Comp. Sit back and relax, wait for the original decision to be made, give it a year or so, calm down and let's do this all again in a year or so, use your 'snap' decision capabilities on the race track and not to change rules !!!!!!!!!!! Trying to keep it real for eveybody, B
