Default GT superstock FWD floor carpet dilemma ?

I have a customer with a cobalt that came into my shop for carpet. Upon disassembly I noticed the removable trans tunnel and a very SMALL area of the floor where the carpet had been scorched...header heat/header flame ...what do you chassis builders do to alleviate this problem ? Thanks in advance.....MJ.......

Tubular control arms, and headers that go outside the frame rails.
