I know they are a pretty far from you, but they do excellent work. Erik Koenig has built my last 2 LS engines and could not be happier. |

A little further away is Don Thomas at PPE in Amarillo. Very honest and fair. He does my Comp engine and I would trust him to do anything I need. Worth a phone call.

Would love to have J Allen do it but it's only a truck rebuild. I've issues in this town with machine shops doing work they weren't told to do or even worse taking something to get checked and they don't check it and do machine work to it. You come pickup the part and the bill is 10x what you thought it would cost to get it checked out and find they did major work. Then you ask how it checked and they say " Oh those never crack or have problems ". I'll go into this some other time. Thanks for your replies. The LS work will involve crank polish, block bore/hone, and valve job for the most part.

And another mess was getting two 67' 275/327 blocks getting stolen right of the vat. The crank for one was there too with rods and pistons, all gone. Nobody wanted to even talk about it.
