Whats the difference between an electric shifter and an air shifter.
I'm guessing you have to re-fill an air shifter, if you do then where do you re-fill and what type of air? Just Normal air that goes into tires? or Something like the air that goes in Paintball guns? educate me =) |

air mostly refers to C02. if you all readdy have an air t-stop, then an air shifter can be tied into the same supply line.
Personally i use a Biondo electric selenoid shift, it only uses 1 amp. Some use a lot more amps. these are the major differences, it comes down to preference. |

Also with the air I would recommend getting a solenoid that shuts off the air when the car is shut off. Some times you forget to turn it off, yes it happens!

I use an air shifter and am very happy. You re-fill them at Paint Ball stores for anywhere from $2 to $5 and they last a long time if you remember to turn them off. The solenoid valve is a good idea. It's embarassing to go down the track and it doesn't shift cause you forgot to turn on the bottle. I keep a note on the dash, "Air Bottle?".
