I don't know how many of you noticed it but the horsepower changes from the AHFS were revised yesterday.
The LS1 Camaros and Firebirds with the flat hood got their horsepower reduced back to 364. It turns out there was only one trigger run for the non ram air car and the other run was by a ram air car. The reason for the error was that the racer with the ram air car wrote down the wrong original horsepower so the AHFS committee thought it was non ram air car. It's extremely important that you fill out your tech cards correctly and completely so that this kind of problem does not happen in the future. An error on your tech card could not only result in getting tossed from a race but it could also get one of your friends horsepower. Greg |

So let me get this straight........after the fact, a racer claims he was running a different combo than claimed on the tech card? What you turn in should be what is looked at by the AHFS. If you filled it out wrong and signed it. How can that be verified after the fact?

There were 2 things NHRA looked at 1st was auto imagery photos which showed a ram air hood on the car and second was the car was in A/SA and the flat hood car will not fit A.

What 0ever combo was claimed on the tech card should be used for the factoring.....no matter what. If the racer claimed the wrong combo then that racer should be recieving a vacation...
