If you are looking for an entry level set of manual scales,
have a set of Rick Jones Easy Weigh Scales. They were around $500.00 new and hardly used. They do the job at a very reasonable price. Make me a fare offer and they're yours! signman1946@att.net

I've also used the RJ scales for years. .....They work great, but you must be careful of your calibration ,and they take up a bit of space, both for storage and when in use. ..........Jegs also has a set of digital scales, not in their catalogue, but on line from Proform. ......I think they are about $650. .....Tom

I dont think RJ sells the inexpensive scales that work with a bathroom type scale anymore. I wanted a set last year to check my bracket car and my buddies sprint car out and was told they did not sell them anymore atlthough they may have started again but they still do not show them on the Quartermax website. In any case there are still good ones available. I bought a set off ebay real cheap. only problem with them is that they are really made for a stock car with a wider tire. The back ones work great the fronts take a little tinkering to get the narrow drag front exactly in the middle of the pad or the pad tips one way or the other. Once you getthem set they are almost dead on. As far as overall weight they were off by 3 Lbs. on Gateways scales at spring sportman challenge. My buddy has since bought a set of high dollar Longacre scales we tried them back to back on my car and the corner weights were within 5-8 Lbs of what my "EL Chepo" as he calls them read. Again look on ebay mine are from a guy in Alabama or Arkansas that runs a modified dirt car he usually has several ads with different options. MOST IMPORTANT use the same scale with the same tripod for acurate results I marked mine so I knew which scale went with which tripod.
