I am looking for a replacement tank to go in my 06 Chevy 2500HD. It has a 22 gal., and I think I read there are some larger replacement tanks, that go in the stock location. Anyone know who that is ?
Trying to not put one in the bed yet. Gas burner here, also.

I had to go and pick up a part for a truck this morning from the salvage yard. There is a very large salvage yard right up the road from the shop that deals only in trucks. Since I had seen your post on here I asked about tanks. He has a 07 longbed that just came in but is not sure what size tank is in it, he told me that you will at least have to change brackets and straps and maybe lines depending on where the fuel pump module is located in relation to the old tank if you want a GM tank. If you would like I can PM you their number.

My '05 Silverado longbed has a 34-36 gallon tank, somewhere in there.

Kenny, the way you are trying to go about it is the same way i tried but it' was going to be twice the money as putting the tank in the Bed so i went with in the bed Tank from Northern Tool. The Tanks they sell are made in Florida and are really good tanks. I bought the 60 gal with the Top Part a tool box, and it has a rollover valve plus a gauge. Was a little less than $600.00

Thanks everyone. I guess that I will just get one for the bed. I could extend the filler enough to fill it thru the sliding side window. I think 1 grand to 1200 is just too much for an underbody tank. especially nowadays.
Thanks again !
