I want to try and get a 9X30 slick under my 74 Nova. I just tried a new pair of 10.0X28-Hits the outer lips-Plus there already trimmed back. I have a stock big ten bolt rear. I tried a 15X8 1/2 back space- No go. I am looking at some star rims 15X8 with a 4 1/2 back space. But not sure it will work. Anyone know what might work? Thanks.

15 x 8 with 4 7/8" backspace will work.
15 x 8 w/ 4 1/2" b/s will hit outer lip. 15 x 8 w/ 5 1/2" backspace will rub inner fenderwell. I got by with them using wheel spacers but I hate wheel spacers.

My 70 has 10" rims with 5.5 B.S. 9x 29.5 slicks, wheel wells rolled and have room, no issues.

T Hall if you don't mind what rim are you using? I just put a centerline 15X8 1/2 with 10.0X28 Hoosiers. Used a small spacer to keep it off the inner wells but its 1/2 inch out too much. If I put a 9X30 is it gonna be any smaller side to side. I have read all the specs on the tires but just 1 inch narrower still gonna be close I think.
