What a treat for the fans, NHRA has put together a show. The track was poorly prepared only a few cars could get down the track. Not just the pros, but across the sportmans ranks too. If you have a high horspower motor not until the 2nd round of superstock did the officals try to make the track better. I know the track was hot, but, tracks get hot everywhere and people hook ok there. What are your thoughts?

We were off .04 in 60' in the first round. We had the worst 60' times we had all year. Ronnie West spun really badly in the first round of class, then they prepped the track right in front of him in 1st round of eliminations. Doug Duell spun the 1st 150' according to the announcers, but still won the 1st round after something happened to Dale Findell. Biondo spun in his heads up run against Speer in the 2nd round.
For the facilities to be so nice now, it was really disappointing that the track prep was so poor. Larry |

I watched Gary Stennett in his GT/AA superstock leave without picking up the front tires at all. Spinning his way down track.

No matter how you "fancy up" a turd, it's still a turd. The previous posts explain why we haven't been to "Turdpeka" for years.
