Default Afco Ball Joints

I`ve got a 65 Malibu SS,355, powerglide. Would there be any benefit to installing the upper ball joints under the mounting flange opposed to on top,as it comes from the factory ? Mounting them underneath would make them longer by approx. 1/4 inch. They are the Afco low friction Ball joints. Thanks for any input.

Mounting them under will help the camber problem at full front end lift, but I would recomend the Howe extra length ball joints. With them the tire will be straight up at full lift, not leaning in at the top.
