Default Block modification?

Any opinions on modifying a block to accept a larger journal camshaft in a motor for Stock? I've heard differing opinions from different tech folks but am curious if anything "official" has ever came from Glendora. I have my own opinion, but am curious what kind of "discussion" this may generate...

Gofastorgohome, Are you talking about roller cam bearing? I no expert on the subject, but I was told you have to use a billet cam and you have a problem with lifter`s, They said nascar racer`s have a way to do it, but it`s high dollar. I don`t know about motors that run stock roller lifter`s. Tom

No, I'm talking about the ability to use a larger radius for the lobes to be ground on.

You can buy them if you want one. Have'nt looked real close but I don't think rules say you can't run one
if that is correct means probaly have'nt caught one therefore no rule yet? I think I know guy who had
vaccumn leak rule made after. My Dad told me in early 70's @BlueGrass& Clay City ,Terry Butcher had 2Bbl stocker 60 chevy?
283 Idled so rich could'nt stand behind it revved it cleaned out ran way under record eventaully pulled air cleaner off carb had springs holding down, linkage short, when wide open raise carb off intake, he said a couple weeks later Natl. dragster had rule revision about vaccumn leaks, whether Terry caused that rule
or not I'm not sure but I think he was close.
