Default Live from Columbus

We are sitting the Red Roof Inn at Brice road having our second cup of coffee at this time, just waiting for the rain to pass. Yesterday was relativley nice as far as things go at Columbus.First session was 78 degress dry bulb 800 feet pressure altitude with corrected altitude about 2300 feet. Second session was 80 degrees dry bulb 840 feet pressure altitude and corrected about 2450 feet.Things were scheduled to start at 9:00AM but it will be much later than that. I will try to keep info coming as best as I can, but I have to post from the room. Anyone at the track with a wireless card should feel free to keep this thread more current. More later.

My track report says that its pouring and that there has been no confirmed sighting of a track dryer at this NHRA owned track?

Sounds like it might be awhile before racing begins!

Were back at the room again and things(The weather) sure don't have good look to them. They did call S/S to the lanes but I don't think they made a pass. Were going back to the track in a while to get a first hand look at things. Check back soon.

Our div3 director god love him (Ha Ha). You show up sat in S or SS and don't get a TT just placed on the bottom of the sheet (that's what I hear). Good job Jay way to think that out.

Absolutely no track drier. Starting line has holes in the surface, out approx.50-75 ft. Easy fix, cheap. Maybe $4000-$5000. Too bad, folks here are very nice!

When they put 7 cars at the bottom of the sheet, how do they determine what order to put them in?

I believe all cars are placed at the bottom and assigned a 28.000 ET. They are placed accordingly, off of Index. The quicker your Index, the more "over" the Index you are and the lower you would be on the sheet. I'm pretty sure this is how it's done.
