Congrats to Tim Weinzapful and Ernie Neal for setting Stickshift records at Indy! Tim in Q/Stick with his 283 stocker and Ernie in his Cavalier GT/C LT-1 Car that he built himself! Nice! Jim.
P.S. Here are some pics of Ernie's car, I will have to dig up some from Tim's car too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If you look in the pictures you will see a SS/DA 2008 Cobra Jet. They went through the barn with no problems that I heard about. They had a small army in tech for tear down and they had all the right tools and know how to get it done on what looks like a pretty complicated piece. I don't think they put it back together at the track as I didn't see the Ford race on Sunday.Even though it was only three cars it was a pretty late night before everything was done.

I thought the black SS/E Aeromotive mustang convertible was going for a record too. Myron Ramey in SS/OA, Robert Harrison "Snoopy" in SS/KA, Rock Haas in SS/DA and myself made record attempts.
I can't wait to get it 60' ing! Ernie Neal SuperStock 3400 |

We found a damaged chain guide when we took it apart...so we opted to go home....the Ford guys were a big help in the barn....they were well versed from the US Nats......Our engine is much simplier than a stocker......but still a little complicated....
It was fun to run it in the good air..... Rock Haas |
