Talking Re: Daniels goes 8.29 @ 160 in SS/AH

None of the Hemi cars, even Daniels, seem to be leaving hard. No wheel stands, just seemed as if they were driving out. I don't know what Daniel's 60' was but it couldn't have been his best ever. Wescott spun the tires every pass I saw.

Sean, I ran 11.25 three times in a row and Merrill ran a 11.33. He is driving Trippy's car in H/SA. Jim

My mistake, I tried a taller 1st gear which killed it a few in the sixty. And by only having 2 shots per day I was too scared to get aggressive on the launch.

Our goal was to be the first to set the record into the 8.20 zone and break 160 MPH. It made the trip well worth it. Charlie hit 160 first with the 4-speed but could only manage to run an 8.41.

Well I guess the sleeping giant has been awoken. Don’t know how many years he (Ray Barton) has held the record. But I would guess on and off, it would be a lot. Congratulation TO Ray and the staff
