Default C4 tranny problem ?

Had my c4 rebuilt and the car won't accelerate past 5000 rpm in first gear second and third it goes to 7500 rpm no problem.

Sixty foot times are also way off normally low 1.50 now 2.00 any ideas.

THANKS.

Check the intermediate band adjustment. If it's too tight it will drag badly on the high gear drum that is turning about 85% of the input RPM, but the opposite direction.

Sounds like the high gear clutches are centrifugally applying in first gear. This could be caused by trapped oil behind the high gear piston, or a cross leak into the high gear clutch circuit.
