WOW! Just got my new Hemmings Muscle Machines Mag... 1971 429SCJ Mustang 9.84....good article, These are Factory Appearing Stock Tire "class" goes on to say the car has 588ci engine (but hey it looks stock) also in the pics it looks as though it has 26x8 slicks with Goodyear on the sidewall? Anybody know if they "spray" these cars? All & all pretty neat cars

Banned for life if they spray. And they use treaded bias ply era correct tires. Amazing.

I've never heard one of these FAST cars idle but looking at some of the published compression ratios & cam specs, I find it hard to believe they are supposed to "idle like stock". That must be pretty subjective! I saw where they are going to get more critical on the cam "sound" somehow.

Heres a picture of the car leaving the starting line. Pretty insane on a bias ply tire...front tires look like they have been "worked" a little

like i had posted before these guys have more power due to the cubic inch that they have hidden under the hood ,where can you turn a 428 into a 500 plus cubic inch engine package that can run these numbers ,,,,traction is key ,soaked tires in vht, traction control devices, but i have to say these are fast cars with just as much work as any stocker, superstock car out there ,,,gmonde
