Hey guys, just looking for an opinion here: of all the accepted EFI on p. 75-76 of the accepted products list, which is the most consistent for Stock eliminator and/or bracket racing? I don't care how fast I go.. Just want it to do the SAME THING every time, and keep my ECU from "thinking" or adjusting itself to the air conditions.
There are so many to choose from on the list. I don't need all too many options, just a standard consistent option and maybe one kill setting to switch to in an emergency if I someday try to get into the Indy field or if I find myself stuck in a heads-up race. Thanks. |

The New Fast XFI 2.0 is the most versatile unit now....it is now available with an "auto tune" software package that auto calculates the TPS sweep and once set up will adjust it's parameters to allow easy start up and auto tuning....the nice thing is after this you can go in and tweek it anyway you like....with the optional switch you can then switch between 4 different tunes or have it set up to automatically switch from your auto tune to the tune of your choice while running.....
If you already have an XFI unit that was purchased in the last year you can get the upgrade for free or if it is older than that for $70.00 from FastManEFI.com.......Rich Nedbal There is a few more NEW controls in the upgrade you can check out..... D L Rambo...... |

I like FAST myself. All the reasons mentioned above. Been using it for over five years with no issues and great support if needed.

Thanks everyone, I'm trying to read up on FAST and ViPec. I'm still confused as to which model number I would get. Are these boxes universal or do I have to find one that fits Ford? Or get Ford harnesses with the universal box? I forgot to mention this is for a '90 Mustang 5.0. Thanks.

Universal. Use the appropriate wiring harness and flash the ECU with the correct calibration. Then it's a Ford.

I just wired mine in myself connected it to the stock injector harness. I also run coil over plug So I had to wire that up. The wiring diagrams are on the ViPec website. It's straight forward and you just program it for your sensor parameters. I run LS1 coils and map sensor, and a Mustang throttle position sensor. MSD cam position sensor, With mopar temp sensors. All this with a 4 cylinder front wheel drive Neon. I recently played a bit with the "cold start". Got it to start and run without feathering the throttle in 22 degree temperature. Rolls over about 5 times and starts and idles at @1800
