I was just at a Ford dealer and while there picked up the all Mustang brochure for 2012. There is an open spread that shows Mustangs racing in various venues. There is a new CJ and the only "old" drag car is Fred Moreno's red SS/GA Mustang poppin' a wheelie, front view. I'm 99% sure it is Fred's.
The dealer had a yellow '70 Boss 302 with every option on the show room next to a 2012 Shelby GT500. They also had a row of 5.0 GT's outside. Unfortunately, my wallet doesn't support my fantasies...

Years ago I spoke to Scott Geoffrion and some of Jim Cunningham's crew(long before Ford got back into it), they weren't impressed about their pics in Ford's brochures. Ford used the pics, didn't pay the racer, AND they made them pay full price for the parts, no discounts. Being a Ford racer, fan, enthusiast, I was not pleased by Fords "lack of support" they were giving the ones supporting them. I guess things have changed.
Congratulations to Fred on the ink.
