All 92-98 Chevrolet LT1 350 engines are now at 291 horsepower for GT classes effective immediately. Check the Classguide on...

Did the LT1 come in the 92 Corvette? Because the 92 Camaro was tuned port.

Yes it did come in the 1992 Corvette. The LS1 came in the 1997 Corvette, while the 1997 Camaro still had the LT1.

Travis, that is just the Aluminium head LT1, right?

This all came from me claiming the 1995 LT1 that was rated 287 and had been that since July 2009 instead of the others that are 291 it was there so I claimed it... and someone called NHRA on it and they found it. Anyway I will have to be 20lbs heavier than I was at Indy because my old bodied cavalier coundnt make minimum. So here it is im not a bragger but who ever thought this was going to slow me down much and if you think you can out run my old out dated bodied cavalier with your new car or what ever car you choose to run bring it to Columbus this week end . Quit your whinning and man up.......

No thinking person would have claimed any other year model.

1992 was first year the 350 LT1 was put in the Corvette.
1993-1996 350 LT1 shown in Corvette, Camaro, Firebird
1997-1998 350 LT1 shown in Camaro, Firebird

The 1995 Camaro 350 LT1 for GT was rated at 287 while all others had been refactored up to 291. Now all are at 291 for GT effective immediately. Therefore loophole closed.

PS. Yes Ed, I am addressing the aluminum head LT1 only.

Before closing this loophole, what were the HP ratings previously for the 92 - 98 LT1 350?

Talking Re: Loophole closed

I think its great that they closed "a" loophole, how bout closing a few more......like making all lt-1's run at 291, or all 350/300's run at the same number, or all the 327/295's run at the same number, blah blah blah......the list goes on. why does a 69 with a cowl run lighter than a 69 with a flat hood, common sense says DUH!, or a 67 camaro w/a 327/295 run at 295 and a duece at 307, once again...DUH, all any of this needs is someone like Travis that has common sense and a good understanding of whats going on to straighten it out. Frankly its a joke, and I won't be back till it is fixed. Been gone two years and I will stay gone many more if need be, but hell they won't miss my mouth.
