I just looked @ Nitro Joe & was wondering....why isn't anyone running a 68 Camaro in F/S with a 396/325??

Probably because the 295/350 is a better combination.

Even better is the 327 at 274hp. With a stick. The small block automatic combos suffer from a powerglide only deal.

Red face Re: 68 Camaro combo?

Ok the 350 combo is 365lbs lighter.....maybe better but I can't see anyway of getting a 68 Camaro down to the 3047lbs for F/S!

No problem with Chineese fenders, doors, hoods, and glass. Dont forget acid dipping. My SS/IA 68 weighed 3090 without me with a mild steel roll cage and it was all GM in 1977 and I still had the back seat. . 350 w/PG and 12 bolt.

Greg, I have run a 295/350 for years, I really don't think the 295/ 350 is better than the 325/396, you can run a metric 200 in the 325/396 remember.

My car does not have any chinese fenders or acid dipping, hell I still have drum brakes all the way around and I can get it down to 2950 with me in it, but I only weight 165lbs.

Hope that helps.
