NHRA super stock National points race!

I'd say that the SS points race is down to 3 racers.
And it appears that Jackie Alley has it just about wrapped up.

If my math is correct, there are two SS/CS cars that have a mathematical chance to catch her (...if she doesn't improve herself!).

David Bogner can get another 119 points with two more wins (at vegas and pomona).
He has 572.... max total is 691.
David needs to win at least 4 rds in vegas this weekend ... or he is out.

Michael Mans can get 130 more points if he wins the last two events.
He has 548.... max total is 678.
Michael needs to win at least 5 rds this weekend.... or no chance for first.

Jackie is in first now with 651 points.
Jackie can improve on a 52 at vegas points meet and a 83 national event.

My kudos go out to all of these competitors!

Amy won it in 1979 and she is one class act! Jackie is following in the footsteps of a great champion and her driving this year has been fantastic. I almost started to second guess her for not returning to Noble for the race conclusion but she proved herself yet again at Vegas. Hope she wins out the season!

You guy's have had a tougher travel schedule than the pro's over the last several weeks, especially Bogner with his return to the Houston Divisional, keep up the good work

Jody has three national event wins already hard to get anymore points out of that. The divisional has to go to the third round to start earning points. I am sure he will do that and increase his lead. Good luck this weekend Jody. Heck could it be possibly stock and super/stock world champs both in Div 6. Who was the last world champ in Div 6 was it Mike Henderson in S/G? Good luck to Jackie this weekend also will be glued to the internet this weekend.

Here is stock points scenario.

Jody has 678.....max is 743 (can only improve on 40 at LV).
72 points (win 4 rounds) in LV should lock out anyone else from catching him. (that would give him 710).

Fletcher has 656.... max will be 699 (must improve on 62 at LV).

Santangelo has 647... max will be 701 (must improve on 51 at LV).

Hidalgo Jr has 559... can tie Jody Lang if he wins LV and Pomona with 678 points (providing Jody and all others don't improve)

ps.... not official... just my math!
