The 'newer' 1967 Mustang, a little bit bigger than the 65' and 66' models,
Still featured the standard. * 289/200 HP - (2-Barrel).......G/Stock * 289/225 HP - (4-Barrel).......F/Stock * 289/271 HP - (K-Code).......C/Stock * 390/320 HP - (S-Code).......B/Stock ' In 1967, the Drag Strips were loaded with 67' 'Mustang GT' Fastbacks with the 289/225 HP running in F/S or F/SA. ![]() Last edited by Paul Ceasrine; 01-04-2013 at 01:19 PM. |

Couple years ago Muscle Car mag. did a interview with the stunt director of Bullitt. He said the Charger would completely run away from the Mustang. They kept putting skinner and skinner tires on it, but the wheel covers would keep popping off it. |

No disrespct the 1967 Mustang GT 390/320 HP owners,
But the 390 GT 4-Speed Fastback didn't scare anyone in B/Stock in 1967, and in 1968, the weight break classed it in D/Stock. 3181 lbs. ~ 320 = {9.94 Wt/Hp} The 390 big-block put an additional #170 lbs. on the nose, and these cars weighed +250 lbs. heavier than the more nimble small blocks. A factory stock 4-Speed with 3.00 Gears, could pull 14.90's @ 93 MPH. Last edited by Paul Ceasrine; 01-11-2013 at 03:28 PM. |
