Sorry; I can't help you with parts, but maybe I can help you to reach the right audience:
The signal lights located under the bumper identify that the car actually came with a full width bumper and has had the split bumpers swapped on later. Very common, but that alone doesn't make it a "split bumper car". The split bumpers came only as part of the Rally Sport package, which included round parking lights mounted inboard of the headlights (none under the bumper) as well as a unique grill with an extended urethane collar around it that was intended to serve as a bumper as well (in theory, not in reality). So; the parking lights/lenses that you're looking for are the ones meant for the '70-73 standard (non Rally Sport) Camaro. You can look on any online Camaro parts vendor's site (Rick's Camaro, Eckler's Camaro, etc.) and find pictures of the above to see what I mean. I hope this helps. If you're just looking to fill the holes you could buy lenses only and mount them in the openings with some black aluminum brackets, which would be cheaper and would also save a couple of pounds over including the pot metal housings. (I'm assuming this is a bracket car) The street car restoration guys are likely selling their old used lenses at your local swap meets, and those should be good enough to meet your needs. Yep bracket/90's NHRA & IHRA. Still trying to have that street car look.
Have not thought about just the lense ,probably will go that route. I like the split bumper look better even with the lense under the headlites. I used to have an original Z/28 with all the features you just mentioned along with the smaller one piece rear spoiler(like it better too). Thanks for your input.

No problem. I've had a few of these cars over the years too, including a '71 Z/28 with a M22 and the small rear spoiler that was provided new to the local stock car track as a Pace Car, and then after it turned circles for a year it was turned into a Stocker. I currently have a '71 SS/RS street car. The small bumpers are popular on Camaros regardless of whether they're a Rally Sport or not 'cause they look good, so I don't blame you for keeping them.
Best of Luck with the project! |
