Question Help With Determining Value of Older Jerico Transmission

A couple of questions for you four speed Jerico users.......when I see a new Jerico now the case does not have a "bottom" plate on it, it has the top plate case only. Were the older bottom case four speeds discontinued ??? If the new case is an improvement how does it effect the value of the older bottom plate type Jericos ??? what is a bottom plate Jerico worth in regards to a newer version without the bottom plate ????

When I bought a DR4 in 2007, the HD aluminum case with no bottom cover was an option. According to their website, now they only make the DR4-4 with wider gears and include the stronger A206 aluminum case.
