Default Where are the SS cars in New England?

Just what it says. Only 43 cars entered at Epping, and last years divisional was also a very low Super Stock car count. Come on guys, dust em off. One of my favorite cars is Dame's Cuda...and there are others that I haven't seen in a while. Just being a fanboy.

Just speculation but I would say distance from New Jersey, Penn, some parts of New York are preventing a lot of entries from those areas .

I think the current economy has a say in that as well...

Add to that...seems like more races posted than ever before...

Associations...Circuits...Divisionals...Nationals. ....

Most of us have family life too...graduations...birthdays...other get-togethers...maybe a bit of vacation...(away from cars...etc.)

Don't forget a day for Dad too!

Also times...when you have to work extra...if you're lucky? to....

A real "balancing act"...on the calendar...if ya ask me!

I withdrew yesterday since my suspension is still out of whack and did not want to spend $1000+ for a test session, although 42 cars and a ladder software program can be lots of fun! Couldn't find a reasonably priced hotel in the area. Also I haven't been to this track before but from the pics I've seen, is this facility is ready to host a national event? I'm sure fan turnout may be the largest of the whole mello yello tour this year which makes me mad that I have to miss this race!

We only had 32 SS cars entered at No Problem this past weekend. Don't remember ever seeing that few, even when we ran off of records.

I have a question? I have a Super Stocker and have never raced a NHRA event before. Anyone ever gotten in without grade points? I am from NB Canada and would consider making the trip if I could get in....

No you need to get a grade point. I was in the same boat years ago when I ran IHRA and wanted to attend a NHRA national event.

Only 58 Stk and 43 SS at Bristol today. NHRA Schedule with 4 Nats in a row, plus Leb Div1 and 2 ASRA races last weekend makes for a lot of races without a break. Keep up the good work ROB!

Sorry about the car Bobby, but like I said, it looked great on film. That's what I mean Ed, I know there are a lot more cars in New England and Canada without having to make the long trip from NJ or further south. And thanks RSmith, I'll do my best. Thanks for the input everyone. Hopefully they can get some racing in at the valley this weekend...no seepage!!

Bobby, I am staying at the Red Roof Inn in Salem, NH. A Superior King room, includes fridge and microwave, is costing me $61.19 + tax for Thursday, and $76.49 + tax for Friday and Saturday; the total comes to $233.45. It is about 40 minutes from the track; keep it in mind for any future trips to New England Dragway.
