Wanted to see who might be coming to London Pro Am?
Also wanted to invite anyone that has'nt been to give a try,is good track,Craig Boone and his crew, and IHRA will make you feel welcome, and will do their best to put on a good race. London,Ky is about 130mi east of Bowling Green on Cumberland Parkway(80 hwy#) track is 8mi. from I-75 exit is north London exit ( Somerset/Lake Cumberland) I don't know # of exit,is about 70 mi south of Lexington exit is 50 ish mi north of Tn. line. If you have'nt been to London give it a try I know there are some stock and super stockers that are'nt that far away and probaly are'nt going anywhere else this weekend,so why don't you come over to IHRA race and give it a try. The race is this weekend 28-30 th website is WWW.LONDONDRAGWAY.COM this is just address of website not a link. Mike Taylor 3601 Last edited by Mike Taylor 3601; 06-27-2013 at 08:33 AM. Question about IHRA events. Do they have the same AHFS?? I noticed the index for my class in IHRA is .5 seconds slower.

Carey, unless something changed, I believe runs -1.40 (1/4 mile) and -1.15 (1/8) earn a HP or Index adjustment in IHRA.
Online Rulebook: http://www.ihra.com/competition/comp...t/category/123 and scroll to page 104. For SS/Production, for every .05 a car exceeds the mark, the Index is adjusted .05 (-1.45 in the 1/4 = .05 Index adjustment). I would guess it would be the same for SS/AM, SS/AS, SS/AX, etc.

Last year was the first time I was at London and yes, it looks nice up there. Hopefully we will not get rained out Saturday, but the forcast looks iffy.

Sure would be nice if IHRA had a published (or posted) procedure showing how much h.p. a Stocker would get hit by when exceeding 1.15 under in the 1/8th. I read that section in the rulebook but did not see how they calculate the H.P. penalty amount. However, I did see on page 101 (bottom paragraph) where a car slower than 14.00 or (8.75 1/8th) can have a ride-along passenger . ![]() I wonder if that applies to Stock ?

Joe,
What big hill are you talking about? White Oak road ,about 3miles ,runs to track from 80(cumberland parkway) is narrow road but there are no big hills,by Ky. standards anyway.LOL White oak road is narrow and curvey but wide enough for two haulers to go passed each other slowly,so just take your time in case you meet someone. When track first opened was alot narrower one would have get in ditch for other to get passed. Mike Taylor 3601 |
