My 85 is a carbed stick car, with bias ply slicks, but I am just using factory V8 GT rear springs, with Air Lift bags inside.I tried the Morosos, but they seemed too weak, at least with the stick. .

I have eibach drag launch with an air bag in the right rear. They work well but will only fit a 28 in tire

Lotsa people using stock v8 rear springs with an air bag. FOMOCO brand not aftermarket replacements. Cut one coil out to set the ride height if you want it a little lower and you are all set.

Good shocks is the key, the factory GT springs work. AFCO double adj. No air bags.

I use the 1988 GT/Hatch progressive spring. Generally get about 4 years out of them before they get weak thats running it at 3400 lbs, and will knock the rear bumper off if it didnt have wheelie bars.
