I've been looking at some cars to get a few Ideas on a build and I've seen a couple stockers that appeared to have 1/2 mid plates in them and that is why I asked. Are they getting away with them by calling them torque straps? Maybe they just haven't been caught yet.
Thanks, Mike |

XStocker,
You are correct and they have been running them for years. There is nothing illegal about them as you will see them on the driver side only. That satisfies what SSDiv6 stated. Good way to gain header clearance around the steering shaft and box.
