Cut off the Charlotte race to show the restart of the NASCAR race! Not much of a loss when you think about it. Hour and a half of T/F and Funny Car plus the latest in the Force Family saga and 7 minutes of Pro Stock and P/S Motorcycle. Screw ESPN. Jim

When you realize that NHRA pays 100% of all production costs for ESPN coverage (that's right, they pay every penny, including those commentators you love) you'll understand that ESPN has absolutely zero incentive to broadcast NHRA drag racing. They've already covered their costs, so they have zero to lose.

First race in a long time my old buddy Jason Line is #1Q IN PRO STOCK. I have the time to watch this race, soooo,
I go to take a leak an make a fresh drink an, I come back and thiSTUFFF is on my TV that I pay for!!

My wife is pi$$ed! We were watching it and bam bam bam Pro-Stock done! It was funny to see hear her complain as much as I do about Pro-Stock not getting any air time. I got changed for work and come back into the living room to find NASCAR. Then she and my daughter really got mad. I had to work so it really didn't make a difference for me.

I was happy to see it wasn't postponed for Little league baseball, women's tennis, more news about the baseball games (that people already watched that day) or the national basket weaving contest. Then they had to do that. Why not show it on the other 47 channels of NASCAR or the other 25 ESPNs. I do not have ESPN news for 2 reasons. 1) I'm a cheap skate, 2) I don't need/want to hear about any other sports. Just my NHRA that was suppose to be on ESPN 2. Looks like I may need to upgrade to ESPN 3 to see the coverage at a better time. It was never a wonder why so many sponsors are pulling out of NHRA. It was more of a wonder why they stayed as long as they did.
