Default a-body stocker suspension

Does Anybody know if Alf Wiebe still produces his suspension setups? Iv tried to email him but it wouldn't go through. Or is there an alternative kickass suspension setup for these cars? Iv seen a kit with a similar design to Alfs made by a company called house of hook. http://vettesuspension.com/A-Body_Components.html but Alfs stuff seems to be the hot ticket for a stocker. I'm in no hurry putting my car together. I'm planning on going the 1971/1972 chevelle 454, jerico dr4 route. Either 425 hp or 365hp 1971 or the 1972 454 240 hp. Any info appriciated

That kit, as pictured, appears to be not legal for Stock Eliminator

I believe Mark Faul's 69 Chevelle has the very suspension setup you are looking for. I have seen his car in action many times and it works VERY WELL. You can contact him by looking at his website www.markfaulracing.com. His phone number is listed there and info on his car. Or you could just buy his chevelle - it's for sale at a reasonable price. Good luck on your project.

Thanks Ron!
Actually this looks like a great copy of Alf's previous suspension that is no longer legal. I changed mine to the newest version shortly after Alf developed the latest version. NHRA doesn't like how the lower bars are attached to the bolt on bracket below the frame. They don't like the wishbone much either for some reason, even though it all mounts to the stock mounting points, and everything unbolts. I thought it satisfied the rules, but they disagree.

that's not true, it was never deemed illegal by the NHRA.. Further, it was deemed legal when Alf first introduced it in the late 90's!

Yes Alf does and this guy^^^ that copied Alf's setup is a POS who 6 months before showing his inferior copy, after he purchased Alf's, didn't know how to weld and it's Alf's setup under that chevelle in that picture from at least 5 years ago. There has been no proof he ever sold one kit and he's been off the radar for many years.

Actually, Alf's first design was declared illegal a few years back, and he modified it.

not according to Alf it wasn't. Internet talk but never done by the NHRA because they had already declared it legal. He modified it cause it was the quickest solution for his customers to the uncertainties started by a divison 5 tech guy in 2008 IIRC, responding to the vocal minority who had issue with Kevin Borgstrom's car, a car that had been running if since the late 90's and had won multiple division and national events in and out of his division without ever a tech issue.

With all that being said, I to am interested in a Weibe set-up. Is he still building and or does someone have a used one for sale? Thanks.

Whatever happened to Kevin Borgstrom Real nice guy and one helluva nice Chevelle! Last I heard he put a 4-speed in it with some Pro-Stock clutch that I don't believe ever worked and haven't heard of him since. Hope he's doing OK.
