Would anyone happen to know if the newer sealed Turbo Start batteries can be charged with the older style charger that was made for the acid style Turbo Start batteries?

Yes you can but you need to change a chip in them, if you tell them they will send it with the new battery.

Yes. You can google Turbo Start Batteries and find instructions to make the adjustment. It involves removing the cover and adjusting the potentiometers while attached to a fully charged 16 volt battery and using a voltmeter. Less than 10 minute job. I have done it on three different old style chargers and worked successfully every time. Instructions are very clear (including pictures!!).
