This has been going on forever were has he been, guess we will have to see what happens now. Now wait till he finds out there putting big cam cores in some engines. Tom

That is news to anyone? People have been making a 396 out of a 454, or a 305 or 283 out of a 350 or 307 for a long time.

Okay, with #15 it seems they're only addressing the COPO LSx series engines, and not the older stuff.
From the information in the above post, the racer was apparently wanting to use the cast iron 6.0L truck block in the race engine. The precedent is the use of a cast iron block as an acceptable replacement for the 1969 ZL-1 aluminum block. The rules are rather convoluted, there are several blocks allowed in stock that are not even manufactured by the OE manufacturers. It's going to be hard to tell the guys running a COPO that they're the only ones NOT allowed to replace their block when a better OE part is available, even if it requires sleeves.

Excellent point. You would think information from these meetings would be at least put up on NHRARacer.com by NHRA.
