Default Clay Jones passing.

I received an e mail from Rich Bowers today that said that Clay passed away this (Monday) morning. This is a tragedy, a young man taken way too early who was a great friend, not only to me but all racers. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dallas and Polly. I can't think of anything worse than losing a child. RIP old friend.

I got the sad news this morning. I've known Clay for a long time, he's been a great friend, not only a great personal friend, but a great business friend and a great racing friend.

The class racing family has suffered a tremendous loss in Clay's passing.

We extend our heart felt condolences to the Jones family, and to the staff at Beech Bend, you will be in our thoughts and prayers, may God bless and comfort you all.

Got the sad news today about Clay. I only had the pleasure of talking to Clay a few times. He was always so friendly and made you feel welcome and appreciated at the track. Another young man taken way too soon. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of the Jones family and the many friends and racers who feel this loss.

A very sad day indeed. Clay was a very hard working man. At the end of a race, he would lead his team in scraping the track to get it ready for the next day. He always had a good word and a handshake for everyone. I wish all the track owners had some of his wonderful traits. He will be more than missed! God bless.
