Congrats to John Calvert and a big thanks to all that participated in the Showdown. Calvert ran strong and consistent all weekend. He had to beat the best, including last years runner-up Mike Skinner and last year's winner Chris Holbrook who was on a tear to the final.

It was also nice to see some of the lesser known racers going rounds as well even in essentially stock Cobra Jets. Goes to show that you have to run the race to have a chance!

Holbrook hung the hoops huge and had a shifter problem when he came down.

A photo gallery and video of the weekend will be posted later this week via Ford Performance sites.

Despite some weather challenges that kept some teams from coming we had a 12 car field and many bugs were worked out so our teams are ready for Gainesville next weekend.

Several Cobra Jet's were on site competing in other NMRA classes including Coyote Modified and Renegade.

Great racing, awesome weather and the NMRA was a fantastic host. Looking forward to the next one!

Congratulations to John and the Calvert team! John is a great competitor and person. We had a blast thanks to Ford Racing and NMRA for giving us a bonus race before the Gators lots of fun!
