I am not sure if anyone is going to report from Mission. James Boyce said his phone doesn't work up there so he is out. Bob and Charlene Gullett's stuff is down south. They are running Division 7 this year. Don't think they will be there without cars. Other than those 2 reporters, I don't know of anyone who might step up. Makes it tough, but we will survive.

Won`t be me Danny, I have to work Friday and Saturday, will go back Sunday though. Went out for a few hours today (Thurs), as Bob Frey used to call it, weather was "Chamber of Comerce" beautiful, supposed to get hotter for the weekend, with no chance of rain.
Between Bremerton last weekend, and Pacific next weekend,(both "double headers") I don`t really mind being a spectator this Sunday.

I hear you, Rory. Don't work too hard. Sorry I didn't see you when I drifted through your end of the pits last Sunday. I've got another commitment or I'd be at Mission right now. Take care and I'll catch up with you later in the season.

Thanks Derrick for the info. Any info that can be sent will be great. I understand it is hard to race and report. Is DRC there or will the results be posted at the end of the day?? Looks like the weather will be hot, so no super quick runs that Mission is famous for. Is there a really good car count?

Danny…I'm busy working all weekend also. Going to try and sneak out to Mission Saturday late in the day. Weather is forecasted as being B.C. Beautiful and HOT, so hopefully they have good fan attendance. I worked out that way on Tuesday and seen a fair amount of trailers heading there. MB.

I was there, quite warm and fairly low turnout. Not the glory days or 10 to 15 years ago with a dozen or more SS Hemis and scads of record seeking Stockers...

I didn't see the Q sheets for third pass but after second i think it was 26 Stock and 25 SS. Just three alky funny cars though, empty acreage in their pit area.
Rick McKinney was listed #1 at 1.85 under in SS/PA... he is running LA so i'd guess they will amend that. I think Jim Isherwood was #2 in SS/DA at 9.21, good to see him back out there. Pete Kost was #1 in Stock at 1.02 under. It is on Drag Race Central now http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...UMMIT#indextop They show only 4 alky diggers, there were six one never even got to the burnout box, one was shut off on the line, one pair both stopped on the track and one smoked hard at the hit. Just one full pass. You expect that with those cars but first session of Super Stock was just like that too. Last edited by Tom P; 06-06-2015 at 12:01 AM. |
