Default Helmets

What SA2010 closed face helmet has the largest opening for the face/eyes??
If your racing was limited to 10.00 and slower would you buy the SA 2010 or the SA 2015??

Adger. I have a Bell Sport EV enclosed.it is sa2010 and has a large opening. I wear glasses and it works well.

As fas as 2010 vs 2015, do a google search. Looked like minimal differences unless you are planning on running a HANS type device.

My G-Force carbon fiber SA2010 has a large eye opening; I wear glasses full time.

Thanks Jeff,
That is my problem. These big old honk'in glasses are a problem. The last time I raced my Simpson helmet was a pain to get the glasses on and be comfortable.

Adger, I have an SA2010 Simpson Voyager that works with my glasses very well. Big eye opening and comfortable. Also have a Bell open face that I wear also. (no, not at the same time!). Jim

Jim,
There for a moment I thought you were "Doubling up" on the protection.
I was thinking about an open face for my door car and closed face for the Roadster. I've become a little claustrophobic and might need the open space inside the car.

Simpson Voyager and the G-force have the largest. Both have large apertures and have forced air available which is good to keep the glasses from fogging on those hot humid days .
I thought that was a good thing at first, but I have have to tape up the guard rail side of my visor on my G-force Air from lane to lane because I see too much !

Agree with Tom...my G-Force has a huge opening for glasses, even bought it a touch larger than I really needed. The SA rated lining is cooler too.

I have come to consider the full face helmet as dental insurance. With carbon fiber, they can be lighter than old style open face helmets.
