I was considering inquiring with Browell even though they are expensive, but I heard they couldn't/wouldn't do one for a 184 tooth flywheel. It is a HUGE problem that there isn't a good bell for an FE application. Too many folks have problems with thicker long style clutches working with the Quick Time.

Did you need to do anything to make the QuickTime work with the Soft Lok clutch? I currently use a Lakewood scattershield behind my FE, along with aluminum184 tooth flywheel,a 10 1/2" single disc Soft Lok, and Jerico DR4, and mechanical clutch linkage. I wanted to get a QuickTime housing, with a window, but most people that I have talked to said that the QuickTime, for whatever reason, was designed to be used with a shorter height diaghpram clutch assembly, and that if a Long style clutch (like a Soft Lok), was installed, they had to use 2 or 3 block plates, and/or modify the front bearing retainer to provide adequate throw out bearing set back to allow the clutch fork to have sufficent room and travel when using a Long style clutch. Considering that every FE powered manual transmission Ford car made came with a Long style clutch, it is beyond me that QuickTime chose to design the Fe bellhousing to not work with a Long. And also, it seems that most QuickTime housings are NOT SFI certified, Although they claim that all of their housings "have passed all SFI testing", the majority are not certified, and do not have the silver SFI spec/dated sticker. You need to specify that you want aSFI certified housing, which will have the letters "SFI" following the part number. Kinda decieving if you ask me.

Did not modify any thing but had to slot the throw out bearing holder for my data recorder center the bell with offset dowels run a advance clutch but have a McLeod soft lock for a SOHC N/SS ( working out some intake issue)have a spare adv clutch I'll measure both and see the difference on the levers might call Hyatt racing service and see if they can lower the fingers GOD SPEED TIM Hyatt for lower installed hight? Measured today 1/14 the difference between the McLeod and adv clutches the leod is thinner by .270 from crank end to fingers.

Flywheel thickness and geometry will have a lot of effect on what clutch will fit and on what length of fork pivot is needed. QT just recertified my two Olds housings, which I bought with the SFI stickers some years ago.
