Looking for the best casting 283 220 horse heads? It list 520,896,682,754. 1.72 1.50 valve size. I've heard the 520 T's are supposed to be the best? Any truth to this? Let me know. Thanks

My father and I have always used the 520's the T castings to us seem a little better, thicker perhaps. The 896's are also good heads but they are a open chamber that needs to be angle milled to get to the cc's required for a 265/283/327. Hope this helps, if you are looking for some 520's we have some castings.

With any production head you have to flow as many virgin castings as possible of the type you want to use, you will find some are better than others, the better flowing stock castings will respond better to modifications, on a stocker air flow through the entire air tract is very important. On a stocker it always comes down to air flow as long as everything else is right.
