Midwest Super Comp results: Joliet, 6/26/16

Results from Joliet for today: 18 brave souls showed up in what was a definitely a questionable weather forecast which prompted "one hit qualifying" because of the impending rain
(which never showed up) with Peewee( lil' Chuckie Graves jr) qualifying #1 with a perfect 8.900😳! With 18 cars thought there was no first round bye.
The quarter finalist were Jim Gerakaris, Brian Reimer and the returning "Super Sub" Dave Livesey driving Blue dragster Mafia team mate Wally Pote's new VRN dragster.
However when the finals rolled around it was Brian Reimer's better light combined with an 8.92 that forced Jim Gerakaris to run under the index at 8.892.
Congratulations Brian! Well done! 😄
Jim Gerakaris won the 5-9's $50 over 50 money for the third Sunday in a roll🙄 ! Well Done Jim.
