'67 Dodge Dart 273 auto car. Has 4,25 wheel bolt pattern. Is there anything that will swap on the front end to be able to use the 4.5 inch wheel bolt pattern? Disc or drum.

SSBC has many kits available.

A lot of years ago, I bought some wheel adapters. 4" to 4.5" bolt pattern. I removed the studs from the adapter and bolted it on the drum/hub. Used the empty holes as a guide and drilled new holes. There's plenty of room and now I can use common wheels.

A lot of '74 and up A-bodies had disc brakes with the large bolt pattern. This stuff would be a direct swap.
Some people will tell you they made the change in '73, but I had a '73 Dart Swinger, 225/auto that had small bolt pattern discs, with left handed studs too on the driver's side. I was pretty disappointed when I popped the hubcaps off on that one. It was one of those factory oddballs I guess. '73 was supposed to have the 4.5" bolt pattern, along with the right handed studs. |

If you are going to use the later disc brake stuff you must use everything from between ball joint to ball joint you should also use the proportion ing valve from the donor car and quite possibly the upper. control arms too

Stock drums can be drilled for the bigger 4.5 bolt circle or go to the aluminum hubs and rotor kit from Strange, fits the drum spindle.

There are aftermarket kits, and also later Mopar parts that will give you anything you need. If you already have 10 in drums, I'm pretty sure the later large bolt pattern hubs and drums will work (I would have to double check). If you have 9 inch drums, the spindle needs to be changed to use factory 10 inch parts. There are after market kits for disc brakes, that work with the 9 inch spindle. The cars with drums all around, usually the /6 models, stayed with the 4" pattern. I'm not sure if the ever changed to 4.5" on the drums by '76, the last year of the A-bodies. Seems like I heard something about it but can't confirm.

Myron, actually it was not an early car. I still have the Broadcast Sheet somewhere (car was rough, was made into new Darts). I seem to recall it was built in March of '73. The VIN was LH23C3B548988.

I would suggest replacing the 1967 K-member with a later unit. I have a 1967 Dart and the idler arm has a stud on it instead of the double ears and the bolt and nut. My idler arm wore out quickly. I suppose you could weld on another ear to use the later idler arm.
