This year we are lucky to have 3 national opens in eastern Canada!!
Cayuga--Napierville--Miramichi-- the Cayuga race was the first and was successfully run.I must say they did a good job with what they had to do in order to prepare the pits for us. The starting line guys swept the burnout box after every car NICE JOB! NEXT is the Napierville open $10000 to win on Saturday and a free race sunday for $3000 to win After that (2 weeks) is the Miramichi open!!! I hope to attend all three this year but I must say that the trip to Cayuga cost $425 in gas and apx $100 in 407etr tolls propably the same cost to Miramichi hope to see lots of stock and superstock racers at these events (71 cars at Cayuga was nice to see) Mike McCollum 1294 e/sa Last edited by ssblues; 07-04-2016 at 05:40 PM. Mike,
The good news is there are no tolls between Montreal and Miramichi! Look for some fun announcements regarding this race in the next few days! Countdown is on |

Yesterday I talked to Ronald about his open. He says that on top of the 10000 to win Saturday there will be a bonus of $100us to the fastest USA qualified car and also the fastest CANADIAN qualified car as well as a draw for $200 for all stock/superstock cars entered (this is sponsored by Guy Desjardins)
Sunday's race is free for all cars entered for Saturday's race this race pays $1500 usd to win as well as his famous shootout lots of fun!! I tried to find the payout for Miramichi again but can not see it . I think its 2000 to win but not sure anyone?? looks like Miramichi is going to be a 950 km trip for me any help as to which way from Montreal?? Mike McCollum 1294 E/SA |

#20PQ to #85PQ to #2NB to #108NB to #8NB is the shortest. Not sure what the #108NB is like from Plaster Rock to Renous. Have not been through there for 20 years. There are no services on #108 from Plaster Rock to Renous. The other option is to go around to Campbellton and down #11NB to #8NB. That route would add roughly 60 miles each way to the trip though. Maybe some one who has been through the #108 recently can chime in. Scott |

I went to Miramichi in June via car and took 2 different routes. Do not take Rte #108 Plaster Rock - Renouse route with a motorhome and/or trailer the conditions are very rough and lots of wildlife including mouse spotted on the road.
If you are coming from Toronto, Montreal or Quebec City through Canada I recommend taking Hwy 20 to Mont Joli, then Rte 132 to Campellton NB, Hwy 11 to Bathhurst NB, then Hwy 8 to Miramichi. It is few miles longer but a much better road. If you have any questions or want to view my maps, come visit me at Napierville open, I will be at the NHRA Tech trailer.
