Default Asra 7/29/2007

Just a quick reminder that the All Star Racing Association will be hold a race on Sunday out at the Valley after the final two finals from the open are run. Sorry for the delay in the reminder! Hope everyone sticks around from the open. Could be a tough day of racing!

We had a great race today, 50 racers, sunny skies and the place all to ourselves. By 4:30 Joe Santangelo had defeated Bob Broadbent. D.J. Pires and Todd Bednaz were the semifinalist. Congrats to Joe and a big thank you to all who came out to race today.

Eric Cabral won stock in the open race defeating Ralph Popora in an all stickshift final.

Larry Jewel defeated Jeff Laflair in the SS class.

Just a reminder that next Saturday we will be finishing the July 15th race that was rainout after the first round, at Lebanon Valley. We are going to try to contact the remainder of the 30 racers who may not know. If you know somebody that is still in please pass the word.

Congrats to Joe on your win. It was good to meet you and your dad-sorry I didn't get there in time for the pictures-I was packing up my bike, but thanks for asking-I was honored. And Bob Broadbent did quite well for a guy about to enter middle age.

As someone born the same year as Bob, my story is that he's about to enter middle-age and I'm sticking to that story!

I'm going to Ct to be with family for the month of august-I'm going to the Keystones and Cecil County, but that's it for racing.

And Bobby and I are both Sox fans too!
