When I was talking with him at the Finals he said he wanted to sell it. I hope he got a boat load of money for it.

"First in the Nines" has a nice ring to it...more so than the impending seven second run which may happen this month. I hope he gets a bunch for it as well.

He posted pics on Facebook, it was bought by Tomas Bengtsson of Sweden. Bobby says he's retiring. End of an era, for sure.

Bobby's about the finest man I've ever met in my life. May the Lord bless his next endeavors.

I only spoke with Bobby on the phone, and I think once via email. I had always hoped that we'd make it out west, but so far, we haven't. One of the things I wanted to do was meet Bobby in person, as talking to him on the phone was a real pleasure. My friend Jimmy Bridges has a couple of "Bobby DeArmond stories" and has always talked about how great Bobby is. I count it as a great disappointment not to have been fortunate enough to meet Bobby and race with him. It would have been a tremendous honor to shake hands before and after, no matter who won. I hope retirement from racing is everything he wants it to be.

what is the duty on a car shipped to Sweden? Is that one of the countries that charge 100%?

I don't know about cars but it seems that it is somewhere around 30% on car parts I ship to Sweden. South America countries are the worst. 66% on the goods and shipping.
