When leaving Houston Sunday, I engaged the air system only to hear an air leak in the lower dash. The system would not work properly hence no brakes etc. I removed the lower dash and discovered an air manifold system with five sending units. Air was coming out of the wires on one of the senders. I left the rig at the track and returned the next day with a complete set of air switches. Total cost for a Freightliner set was $27. Replaced the unit and was on my way. I recommend going to your dealership with your vin and keeping a set on board. Parts guy said they break all the time. FYI Good luck
It's something every trip. Not for the "weak and the weary"!!! |
